What Is The Difference? TEC And Solo Lolo, Debunked.
If you don’t know by now, we launched a new community currency which we have strategically named Solo Lolo. It’s very exciting and includes a whole different side to the trading/barter community than we are typically used to seeing. So what we wanted to do with this blog post was talk about the differences between Trade Exchange Canada (or TEC as we like to call it) and Solo Lolo. So here goes;
What is TEC?
TEC is a team of dedicated professionals that specialize in helping small and medium-sized businesses. With over 40 years of trading experience, they can help you grow your business.
What they do: introduce your business to a new customer base, find your next client or supplier, show you how to conserve cash, arrange interest-free financing, coordinate trades of products and services, help you move excess inventory, and much more. There is a large network with over 400 actively trading members. What does this mean for you as a business? You can trade your goods and services at 100% trade for other goods and services. It’s multi-directional, meaning you can “bank” your trade dollars and spend it on whatever you want. It’s not traditional in the sense that you must do a one-to-one trade in the moment. There is also software and a community setup, ready to use. You literally sign on to the website, search for the desired business, get into contact and boom! The trade is in action. You have support from the brokers and can even make suggestions and give referrals for other businesses you’d like to see on TEC. It’s a well-oiled machine that has sustained many ups and downs.
What is Solo Lolo?
Solo Lolo is specifically for Solopreneurs of the artisanal type. Meaning you are someone who is a “maker”. You make your goods, or harvest your eggs or create gift baskets. We want to create a platform where you were able to do this but also use an organized and constructive program to make it happen. It can be a little difficult sometimes to advertise on a smaller scale. You don’t necessarily need a full-blown Facebook ad or a boosted Instagram post. But it would be nice to have the option of advertising your goods to other Solopreneurs. And that’s exactly what we’ve done, made an easy-to-use platform where you can come together, talk, trade and connect!
